3. Ben Coker
Ben Coker was signed while injured—a calculated risk that didn’t pay off. He never made a league appearance for Lincoln, only playing once in an EFL Trophy match, hence the lack of image! By the time he was fit, Danny Cowley had gone and Michael Appleton had arrived, and a seeming clash in personalities was evident. Appleton’s no-nonsense style didn’t gel with Coker’s more extroverted character.
The full-back quickly fell out of favour, eventually moving on and dropping down the divisions. For a signing expected to challenge for the left-back slot, Coker barely got a kick, making him a clear inclusion in this list.
