10 National League Players Who Might Make Good League One Investments

Harry Boyes (Southend United)

If you’re a lower League One side playing 3-5-2, then there would be worse pickups than former Imp Harry Boyes, impressing with Southend.

Boyes always felt capable of playing League One football, and I was surprised he didn’t wind up in League Two. You could argue Southend are League Two size (at least) and therefore this wasn’t such a shock.

However it is framed, he’s doing well. He has four assists, three in his last two matches, and he’s showing all the quality that had him highly rated at Sheffield United.

I predict a short stay in the National League.
