Reddin has quality, having been at Aston Villa and Stoke during his youth career, but now he’s making a name for himself at Altrincham. They’re 20th in the National League, so the fact that he is standing out is a testament to the player.
Like Abdulmalik, Reddin is a player who takes defenders on. He is comfortable going either side, so he can play on both flanks, and his goal involvements are impressive – five this season, which is 27% of Alty’s National League goals.
What I like here is his ability to handle the challenging physicality of the National League. Think Josh Ginnelley and Macauley Bonne – both were alright but looked to be outmuscled at times. Reddin is much more Harry Anderson levels of effective, and would be a solid pick up for a team willing to take a punt.
Along with Oliver Ewing, this is the other player on the list who really stood out to me. He’d be comfortable on either side of our attacking three.
