Left-back Petroviฤ has developed through the Slovenian pathway, featuring for Maribor at youth level before breaking into senior football with Mura. He became more established during the 2025/26 campaign, making 24 league appearances and starting 20 times in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, leading to them activating a one-year clause in his contract. A Slovenian youth international from Under-15 through to Under-19 level, he has also featured in UEFA U17 and U19 Championship qualifying.
His 2025/26 numbers show a player with regular involvement in wide areas, averaging 3.66 crosses per 90 minutes with a 38.5% accuracy rate. He also completed 71.8% of his dribbles and averaged 1.14 progressive runs, which suggests an attacking full back. I know we have Josh Honohan and Tendayi Darikwa, but Petroviฤ feels like the sort of young player we could look at.
