The Slovenian Job: Ten Players Lincoln City Could Have Been Looking At

Luka Lukanić – CM – Bravo

Another young player, 22-year-old Lukanić, came through the Dinamo Zagreb academy after joining from NK Bistra, later signing professional terms with Dinamo in 2022. He made his senior debut in a Champions League qualifier against Astana in August 2023, before spells with Zrinjski Mostar, Jong Genk and Domžale. Now with Bravo, the midfielder has also represented Croatia from Under-15 through to Under-19 level.

He’s a left-footed central midfielder who can stray forward, a little in the Tom Bayliss mould. He completed 84.7% of his passes and 60.5% of his long passes for Bravo. He also averaged 5.36 passes into the final third per 90 minutes, with 70% accuracy, while adding 1.43 shot assists and 0.27 assists per 90. His crossing numbers were also strong from limited volume, with 83.3% accuracy from 0.54 crosses per 90, suggesting a player capable of using the ball cleanly when he does move into wider or advanced areas.
