Archie Collins

Midfielder Archie Collins was linked with City by SportsBoom, which claimed the Imps had opened talks with the player following his release by Peterborough United. The 26-year-old came through Exeter City’s academy and made more than 200 appearances for the Grecians, helping them earn promotion from League Two before joining Peterborough for a six-figure fee in 2023. Collins subsequently contributed to Posh’s back-to-back EFL Trophy triumphs and recorded two goals and seven assists during his final season at the club.
Collins ended up at Huddersfield and is clearly a top-end League One player, maybe even Championship. Profile-wise, I don’t think he suits us hugely, but again, the timing of the noise would suggest maybe an agent throwing out a few names who have had a ‘long list’ conversation.
