Luke Graham
Graham was in a similar boat to Stewart, in that he was playing in Scotland for one of the ‘lesser’ clubs, in this case, Dundee. He’s a serious talent, and again, the bidding got too rich when the wages got towards five figures, with the fee going above £2m. Ultimately, we ended up with Andrei Coubis, and Graham went to Stoke City, who have also started well in the Championship.
This is a real miss for us, even though I know we went in as hard as finances allowed. Graham looks completely at home in the Championship, with nine starts spanning 878 minutes already. He scored this weekend against Derby, although it may end up being an own goal as he headed a free kick onto Carlton Morris’s head, and it was then pushed into the net by the keeper.
