Tyrese Shade
As the transfer window wound down, it did seem like Tyrese Shade could become a Lincoln City player. It felt like a toss-up between him and Ethan Wheatley, but at the moment, we haven’t seen either. That’s because Wheatley has been injured, and Shade joined Portsmouth instead. I say ‘instead’ but we made our move for Wheatley before Portsmouth completed a £2m deal for the Burton Albion player.
Shade has appeared five times for Pompey, 364 minutes of action, and has a single shot on target to his name, that coming after 14 minutes of his debut. 350 minutes and no shot on target suggests that, like some of our signings, he is still in the settling-in period.
