Buhari was one I had question marks over, until our chat with Jez George back in September. Some of the clues seemed to suggest he was on our radar until the ESC rules shifted, and maybe he was the player being watched when we spotted Mikkel. Either way, he got his move from Elfsborg and ended up at Austria Wien, getting smashed by Oumar Diakite.
He’s settled well in Austria and has four European outings to his name as well as becoming their regular left-sided centre back in the Austrian Bundesliga. As a centre-back, we’ve seen no goals or assists so far, but he has won 63% of his aerial duels, suggesting he could have been the perfect Lincoln City defender.
