Dejan Kantužer – CM – Radomlje

The passing numbers are what draw me towards Dejan Kantužer. Across the supplied 2026/27 sample, he averaged 53.39 passes per 90 minutes with 87.1% accuracy, which suggests a midfielder regularly involved in keeping his team moving. He also averaged 3.71 interceptions, so there is more to him than simply being available for a safe pass.
Kantužer is 23 and stands 6ft 1in, combining a useful physical profile with experience built largely in Slovenian football. He joined Radomlje from Bistrica in January, having also spent time with Celje, Rogaška and Rudar Velenje. It is a different background from a player coming out of a major academy, but there is something to be said for working your way through senior football.
His defensive figures include winning 61.4% of his defensive duels and 58.3% of his aerial contests over 703 minutes, alongside 29 interceptions and 66 recoveries. I wouldn’t sell him as a goalscoring midfielder, because the same sample contains neither a goal nor an assist, but I can see the appeal of someone who can regain possession and then use it reliably. The question for us would be whether he can retain that influence when the time and space available are reduced.
