Killian Phillips
Another that I have mentioned before, and this is looking forward to a time when maybe one of Ivan or Conor has moved on. The way both are playing, Barcelona will come knocking, or maybe one of the Old Firm for the Scottish Rodri.
Killian Phillips has taken an unusual route through the game, with a background that spans the United States, Ireland and Scotland. Born in the US but raised in Ireland from a young age, he developed through the well-known St Kevin’s Boys setup before stepping into senior football with Drogheda United in 2021, where he quickly gained attention for his size and presence in midfield.
His progress earned him a move to Crystal Palace, although his senior development has largely come through football in Scotland. A loan spell with St Mirren eventually turned into a permanent switch, and he has continued to grow into a physically imposing midfielder capable of influencing games both with and without the ball. His performances have also brought international recognition, earning a senior call-up from the Republic of Ireland.
In terms of SPFL players under the age of 23, he’s a standout, and he’s already been linked with a big move away. He ranks in the top 16% of players in the division for tackles and blocks, and he’s sure to have a big move soon.
