These are cheap articles, I know. We all think we’re scouts these days, and we all have ideas of who might fit into our squad, and where.
The truth is that February and March are the toughest months for football news, because fans want transfers. It’s crazy, nobody is ever happy with the squad, and it is always a transfer article that gets people clamouring and debating.
Given that I found a spare hour this afternoon, and that the transfer window is three months away, I thought I’d run down six players that have caught my eye over the last few months, who would fit the current Lincoln City ethos.
Some of them you might already be aware of. Some of them, the club might already be aware of. Some of them might be out of leftfield.
I have produced the article with two things in mind. One, I am working on these players being Championship suitable. I’m not saying we’re going up, but these are players I think could make it in the Championship.
The other stipulation is that I have picked players for positions we may need to fill, or think about in the next 18 months.
