Nine Obscure Europe-Based African Players That Could Interest Lincoln City

Bubacarr Tambedou

Bubacarr Tambedou is a 24-year-old Gambian forward who plays for FCI Levadia. He previously featured for Paide in Estonia, Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel and Dinamo Batumi in Georgia before joining Levadia. During his first spell in Estonia with Paide Linnameeskond, he scored seven league goals in 18 appearances during the 2022 Premium Liiga season, adding six more goals in 11 matches in 2023.

Tambedou moved to Georgian side Dinamo Batumi in 2024, where he scored in the Erovnuli Liga and featured in Champions League and Conference League qualifiers. Since joining Levadia, he has scored seven league goals in 29 appearances during the 2025 campaign, adding nine goals in his opening 10 league matches of the 2026 season. He has also appeared in European competition for Levadia in both Champions League and Conference League qualification.

Why Lincoln? In terms of numbers, Tambedou is hard to ignore. He has eight goal involvements in his last six matches, and is beginning to look as if he has outgrown the level. He’s a really smart finisher, watching clips he’s a real danger anywhere in the box, always hanging off the shoulder of a defender. At 24, he surely needs to step up soon. One to watch.
