Abder Kader Njoya is a 22-year-old Cameroonian striker who plays for FC Hegelmann. He emerged with Hegelmann during the 2024 season, scoring two goals in 34 A Lyga appearances while also featuring for the club’s second team in the Lithuanian second tier. His breakthrough came in 2025, when he scored 15 league goals in 34 appearances, adding further goals in the Lithuanian Cup and helping establish himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the division.
Njoya’s form attracted interest from abroad, with Norwegian side Sandefjord agreeing a deal reportedly worth €250,000 plus sell-on clauses in September 2025. However, the transfer collapsed before completion, and he returned to Hegelmann, where the club publicly reaffirmed his importance to the squad. He has continued that form into 2026, scoring three goals in his opening 11 A Lyga appearances while also featuring in Conference League qualification.
Why Lincoln? Since that collapsed transfer, Njoya has played 20-odd matches, scoring eight. He’s a fighter of a centre forward, involved in 25.56 duels per game, and 6.7 aerial duels per game, winning 34.6%. Compare that to Ben House (23.95 duels, 5.5 aerial, 33.8%) and the numbers stack up. He’s a robust, strong centre forward able to deal with the rough stuff, but also packing a decent goals return as well.
He is an out-and-out centre forward, but watching his clips, he looks mobile, capable of creating as well as scoring, and possesses the strength to hold off defenders. Could he level up to the Championship? Maybe. I’m not a scout, just an armchair enthusiast!
