Sam Silvera
Winger Silvera began his senior career in Australia with Western Sydney Wanderers NPL and Central Coast Mariners before moving to Paços de Ferreira in Portugal, where he had loan spells with Casa Pia, Sanjoanense and Newcastle Jets.
After returning to Central Coast, he helped the Mariners win the 2022/23 A-League Men Championship, scoring in the Grand Final, before joining Middlesbrough on a three-year deal in July 2023. The Australian international made 54 league appearances for Boro, also spending time on loan at Portsmouth and Blackpool, before being released in May 2026.
With more than 60 Championshop games, he has the experience we’d be looking for. He had a big role to play in 2023/24 for Boro, and if we could get him in that form, we’d be in a good place. His time with Portsmouth wasn’t inspiring, and he is a left winger, which is a position we feel like we have a little depth.
