Daryl Dike
Dike began his career in the United States with OKC Energy U23 and Virginia Cavaliers before being selected by Orlando City in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. After scoring 18 goals in 35 MLS appearances, he impressed on loan at Barnsley in 2021, hitting nine goals in 19 Championship games, before joining West Bromwich Albion on a four-and-a-half-year deal in January 2022. The United States international struggled badly with injuries at The Hawthorns, including serious Achilles problems, and was released by the club in May 2026.
There is value here, and Seattle Sounders are thought to be weighing up a move (did you know 50% of Canada’s population lives south of Seattle?). He has had an injury-hit four years, including an Achilles tear, which does add an asterisk to his potential. Still, 62 Championship appearances, 10 goals, and still only 26? It’s possible.
