Wild card? Possibly, he’s still only 31. Webster came through Portsmouth’s academy and made his senior debut for the club as a 17-year-old in 2012, later spending time on loan at Aldershot Town before moving to Ipswich Town in 2016. He joined Bristol City two years later, winning the club’s Player of the Year award in 2018/19, before earning a Premier League move to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2019. Webster made 138 league appearances for Brighton, helped the club qualify for Europe for the first time, and remained there until 2026.

He hasn’t played for a year, due to an ACL injury, but Portsmouth and West Ham are thought to be looking. He’s a central defender, right-sided, and he may be out of our pay structure despite his lack of appearances.
