Tyrese Shade
Shade has been one of the more persistent Lincoln City rumours, with the Imps believed to have had several bids worth around £2 million rejected by Burton Albion. Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic have also been linked with the 26-year-old, meaning City are not alone in pursuing him.
Burton boss Gary Bowyer has suggested Shade is ready for Championship football, with The News reporting that his progress would eventually take him into the second tier. With only a year remaining on his contract, Burton may have to decide whether to cash in before the window closes.
This feels like a genuine Lincoln interest rather than speculation, but the rejected bids and competition make it difficult to judge whether an agreement will be reached. If the Imps are prepared to improve their offer, Shade could easily be one of the additions Shaw expects this week.
