Charlie Savage
Charlie Savage was linked with the Imps in May after an impressive campaign for Reading, but it is difficult to see any relevance in that story now. The midfielder made 43 league appearances last season, contributing two goals and five assists, while reports suggested he could be available for around £800,000.
Savage has remained at Reading and continues to play for them, with no indication that a move to Sincil Bank has ever come close. There has been no meaningful follow-up to the original report, despite other Championship clubs also being credited with an interest.
The signing of Yunus Emre Konak makes the link even less relevant. Central midfield is no longer an obvious priority, so there would be little sense in spending a substantial fee on Savage at this stage of the window.
