13 – Reeco Hackett
I think having some of our current squad on here is viable, and Reeco has been a major part of our rise over the last couple of seasons. Portsmouth had brought Hackett back into the EFL from Bromley, but after three-and-a-half years on their books, he moved to Lincoln for an undisclosed fee in June 2023. His first season here included a Goal of the Month award for his strike at Northampton and a Player of the Month nomination after four goals and two assists in February 2024.
The Saint Lucia international subsequently helped us win the League One title and extended his contract to 2029 ahead of our return to the Championship. He’s even on two goals already this season, and his inclusion is not about profit; it’s about impact. Sometimes a good signing is one that goes over 100 appearances, and stays put despite rumours to the contrary as he did last winter.
