Will Keane

I wanted to have some fun with this list, run my eye over a few free agents and wonder who might fit the bill for us. The truth is we don’t need another attacker right now but, if Tyler Walker got injured, our current style of play would be severely impacted.
That’s not to say Big John couldn’t do a job, but we would need cover.
If someone had said 13 months ago we’d sign Jason Shackell, likely to be on £25k a week at Derby, you would have laughed. That’s exactly the same response I imagine you had when you saw I’d added Will Keane to this list.
Keane was a Manchester United youngster with England honours up to under 21 level. His fortunes haven’t been great of late; he’s been through Hull and Ipswich with little success.
He did suffer a hamstring injury at the tail end of his loan spell with Ipswich, which makes him perfect Danny material too; down on his luck but with talent to add to the squad.
