Do we need cover out wide? We have Harry, Bruno and Jorge Grant, but what if one got injured? I could see Danny bringing in a player as cover, adding some depth to the squad. It’s a tough call to make though; if he brings in a Jordan Roberts type player and the lad doesn’t play, DC gets hammered. If he doesn’t bring anyone in and a player gets injured, DC gets hammered.
Buckley is a free agent after leaving Bolton this summer thanks to their financial problems. Buckley has been open to a return to Bolton and has attracted the attention of Doncaster as well, but is very much unattached right now.
He’s right-footed but can play on either flank which would increase our options. He’s played for Sunderland, Brighton, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday amongst others, so has the right experience for us as well.
It would again come down to money but, as I keep saying, past experience tells us Danny has a habit of pulling things out of the bag.
