The Worst Lincoln City Transfer Window Speculation EFL Era

Kingsley James

One from the summer of 2017 here, then-Macclesfield midfielder Kingsley James was linked with the Imps.

On paper, it didn’t seem like our sort of signing. He was 25, and we’d just released Alan Power, which suggested the level we were looking at. Alex Woodyard was already at the club, and as the summer wore on, we signed Michael Bostwick.

James didn’t find his way back into the EFL – he went to Chester, then Barrow, before slipping into the National League North. A later conversation with the club revealed we’d shown no interest at all.
