If I recall correctly, he was the subject of the cringiest club signing video ever when he joined Mansfield. The former Manchester United man wasn’t a bad striker, but when we were linked with him in June 2019 as we got out of League One, something felt off. He hadn’t done much at Mansfield, who weren’t promoted, and he was edging toward journeyman status.
He went to Exeter, scored twice in 17 games, and eventually retired two years later. Whoever reported this (The Daily Mail, wow) was miles off. We did sign a former Mansfield striker that summer, by the name of Tyler Walker.
