Jordan Maguire-Drew
On loan: 2017/18, July 2017 to January 2018
Parent club: Brighton & Hove Albion
Jordan Maguire-Drew joined us following a productive loan at Dagenham & Redbridge, where he had helped the club reach the National League play-offs. The Brighton & Hove Albion winger arrived as we returned to the Football League in 2017. He made 12 league appearances without scoring before another loan took him to Coventry City in January 2018.
That trajectory: Dagenham, to us, and even to Coventry, was upward, as expected, and given the type of player he was: tricky winger, eye for goal, you could see him going further. I never saw it at City, and that proved to be right, as he floated around the basement division.
Maguire-Drew later helped Leyton Orient win the National League and scored Grimsby Town’s extra-time winner in the 2022 play-off final against Solihull Moors. His subsequent clubs included Yeovil Town, Weymouth, Whitehawk, Lewes and East Grinstead Town. He now plays for Horsham YM in the Southern Combination Premier Division, with the club’s 2026/27 reports confirming his involvement.
