Przemysław Płacheta
Przemysław Płacheta would trouble the commentators, but would he trouble City’s squad? He has built a varied career across Poland, Germany and England, initially emerging from RB Leipzig’s academy before impressing in his homeland with Śląsk Wrocław, where his pace and direct running quickly attracted attention. Norwich City signed him in 2020 and he went on to gain both Premier League and Championship experience with the Canaries, while also spending time on loan at Birmingham City and later spells with Swansea City and Oxford United. Internationally, Płacheta earned seven senior caps for Poland and was part of their UEFA Euro 2020 squad, underlining the level of promise he carried during the early years of his career. Able to play as a winger, attacking midfielder or even wing-back, he has remained a dangerous transitional player throughout his time in England.
Płacheta’s 2025/26 campaign with Oxford United showed flashes of the explosiveness that once made him one of Poland’s most highly-rated attacking prospects. Across all competitions, he averaged 2.44 shots per 90 and completed nearly four dribbles per game, while contributing goals at a rate of 0.31 per 90 minutes. Beyond the attacking numbers, his work-rate remained evident, averaging almost 16 duels and nearly four recoveries per game, while his versatility saw him feature across both wings, in attacking midfield roles and occasionally deeper or wider in defensive positions.
The experience is interesting, and the fact that he’s only 28 is positive. He missed the end of the campaign due to injury.
