Jack Diamond
Jack Diamond was one of the more interesting names to be linked with us earlier in the summer, mainly because we already know plenty about him from his season at Sincil Bank. Portsmouth were also mentioned in connection with the Stockport County winger, who is into the final year of his contract at Edgeley Park. Diamond scored six times in 31 league appearances for the Imps, while Stockport were reportedly looking for more than £1 million for him earlier in the year.
There has been absolutely nothing since to suggest a return is on the cards. Diamond has remained involved with Stockport and has featured for them in the cup, which hardly points towards an imminent departure. With no fresh reports, no obvious movement and the season now underway, I think we can safely put this one to bed.
