Lincoln City Transfer Latest: All The Rumours Assessed

It’s been a slow summer in the Championship: as of a couple of days ago, it wasn’t just Lincoln City behind where they expected to be.

As of August 9th, Ali Maxwell suggested League Two had seen 216 transfers, League One 156 and the Championship just 108. The World Cup has slowed things at the top end, and changes to the ESC rules, which we highlighted at the start of the summer, have hit a lot of player trading as well.

That means as we head into the days before the big kick off, there is still business to be done, and plenty of rumours flying around. I’ve pulled together all of the players we’ve been linked with over the summer, and addressed those without a resolution.

Mikkel Ladefoged

Mikkel Ladefoged could, one day, be a name Lincoln City fans mention as one of the best ever. Poised for a £3m move, he could be a huge asset, literally. He’s 6ft 8in tall and a real prospect, linked with a move away from Västerås.

As of August 11th, Ladefoged’s future is up in the air. His club have been eager to retain him, but after coming off with a reported knee issue last week against Djurgårdens, he didn’t play at all last night in the reverse fixture. His boss said he was ‘unavailable for selection‘ which hasn’t helped rumours of a move.

This is one to watch over the coming weeks.

For each, I’ll do my thoughts on the chances of the player signing. For Ladefoged, I think we’re still in with a shout.

Transfer Chance: 70%
