Anthony Scully
Anthony Scully left Lincoln for Wigan Athletic in September 2022, but the move failed to provide the opportunities his goalscoring record with us had promised. He joined Portsmouth the following summer, only for injuries to restrict his involvement, and later spent time on loan at Colchester United.
A reunion with Appleton at Shrewsbury Town followed in July 2025, but Scully was released at the end of the 2025/26 season. He has since been involved with the PFA’s programme for out-of-contract players, looking for a fresh opportunity after several frustrating years.
