Hackett is the one member of this matchday squad still playing for City, having become an important part of our progress since Kennedy’s departure. After recovering from a hamstring injury, he earned a League One Player of the Month nomination in February 2024, and later contributed 11 league goals to our title-winning 2025/26 campaign. City initially exercised an option to extend his stay until 2027 before agreeing a further deal ahead of this season, keeping him at Sincil Bank until 2029.
