Alex Mitchell
Mitchell was a hugely popular loanee who scored the winner at Fleetwood in our first match after Kennedy’s departure and went on to complete a productive loan spell, making 41 appearances for City. He was a target in the summer following his departure, but we were quickly priced out of a move.
He left Millwall permanently for Charlton Athletic in June 2024 and was part of their promotion-winning squad before joining Plymouth Argyle on loan in August 2025. That move proved particularly successful, with Mitchell winning Plymouth’s Player of the Season award for 2025/26. Argyle made the arrangement permanent in July 2026, signing him on a three-year contract.
