Hakeeb Adelakun
Adelakun was a sub under Kennedy, a player we never really seemed to fancy. A week or two later, he bagged a brace as interim boss Tom Shaw oversaw a 3-1 win against Charlton, completing his redemption ark, but also bringing his Imps career towards a conclusion.
Adelakun joined Doncaster Rovers on loan in January 2024 and enjoyed a remarkable revival, scoring nine league goals and winning League Two Player of the Month for February as Rovers surged towards the play-offs. Released by City that summer, he moved to Salford City and scored 13 league goals during 2024/25, before a short spell at Cheltenham Town began in November 2025.
He returned to Doncaster permanently in January 2026, signing an eighteen-month deal and resuming his association with the club where his post-Lincoln resurgence had started.
