The Ten Players Who Always Scored Against Lincoln City

8 – Matty Taylor, 16 appearances, 6 goals

Matty Taylor began at Oxford United between 2007 and 2009, but his Football League career really gathered pace once Bristol Rovers climbed back into the EFL, with him leading the line. His goals for Rovers earned a move across the city to Bristol City in 2017, before Oxford brought him back, first on loan in 2019–20 and then permanently from 2020 to 2023. Taylor later had EFL spells with Port Vale, Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town, before stepping away from that level with Salisbury and Oxford City.

Another player I hated, so another decent striker. Taylor has played 16 times against us, scoring six goals. They’ve come from four different clubs, the first of which was a part of a brace for Forest Green in 2012. He then netted for Chester City in a 1-1 draw in 2014.

He moved into the Football League and scored twice for Oxford, once in our 6-0 defeat at the Bank, another as they beat us 3-1, before also scoring in the crazy 3-2 win we secured against Port Vale in 2023.
