Stuart Bimson
Stuart Bimson remained with us until 2003, making 175 league appearances during his Lincoln career, before moving to Cambridge United. A loan at Accrington Stanley and spells with Canvey Island, Chelmsford City and Bedford Town followed, with Bedford also giving him his first managerial role in 2007.
He returned to Cambridge as a first-team coach in 2008 and later worked as a scout for Barrow and assistant manager at Altrincham. Stuart also applied for the Lincoln manager’s job after Peter Jackson’s dismissal in 2009, without getting an interview, and joined Southend United’s youth set-up as a development coach in 2012.
