Justin Walker
Justin Walker replaced John Finnigan before half-time and went on to win our Player of the Season award for 2000/01, remaining with City until the financial problems of 2002 prompted his release. His playing career continued with Exeter City, Cambridge United, York City on loan and Chester City, before non-league spells at Ilkeston Town and FC Halifax Town.
Coaching has taken him considerably further, initially through Derby County’s academy and first-team staff, including a spell as part of their caretaker management team in 2020. He subsequently worked alongside Liam Rosenior at Hull City and Strasbourg before joining Chelsea as a first-team coach in January 2026.
