Marcus Stergiopoulos
Marcus Stergiopoulos’s winner was his only goal for Lincoln, and his stay proved brief, with the Australian leaving in November 2000 after just seven league appearances. He returned to Australian football with Eastern Pride, followed by spells at Sydney United, Northern Spirit, APIA Leichhardt Tigers and South Melbourne. His later playing career included Altona Magic, Kingston City, Oakleigh Cannons and Dandenong Thunder, before a return to Fawkner Blues in 2011.
Marcus subsequently moved into management, taking charge of Croydon City Arrows, Beaumaris and Rochedale Rovers, leaving that one cup goal as his lasting contribution to our record against Sheffield United.
