Grant Brown
Our record appearance holder, Grant Brown stayed with us until the end of the 2001/02 season, when the club’s financial difficulties brought his long playing spell to an end after a record 407 Football League appearances. He moved to Telford United, then Alfreton Town, before an agreement with Worksop Town was cancelled so he could combine playing for Grantham Town with coaching our youngsters.
His return to Sincil Bank developed into a lengthy coaching career, including work as head of youth, assistant manager and several spells in caretaker charge of the first team. Grant left City in June 2016 and was appointed academy manager at FCV International Football Academy the following month.
