Alan Marriott
Alan Marriott was still near the beginning of his Imps career when he kept Sheffield United out, but he went on to become one of the defining players of the following decade, making 354 league appearances and featuring in five successive play-off campaigns. He remained at Sincil Bank until 2008, when his release brought an end to nine seasons with us.
A brief spell at Rushden & Diamonds followed before he joined Mansfield Town in January 2009, making another 201 league appearances and helping them win the Conference title in 2013. He also scored from his own penalty area against Wrexham in April 2012, before leaving Mansfield in 2014.
