What do fans want from a club record signing? Either a big profit or longevity, and Grant Brown gave us the latter. It was Leicester City, again, the beneficiary as we handed them a record fee for their young centre back, but in the club’s wildest dreams, a record number of appearances seemed unlikely.
Grant went on to become a club legend, playing more games than any player for the Imps. That’s what I call value for money.
